Fast food chains: necessity or dependence?

How much leisure time do we get to spend with our family these days? May be, not much! We are now becoming busier by every passing day. In one hand, we are committing to the hectic schedules of our day-to-day lives, and on the other hand, we struggle to find quality time for ourselves.

Although we don’t get to manage enough time for our family, we all love to take quick bites at the fast food chains.

The concept of quick service restaurants first came in Europe and eventually became extremely popular all over the world, especially in the US. Today MacDonald’s, KFC, Taco-Bell, Subway, Arby’s, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Domino’s Pizza etc. are the most popular fast food chains in the US.

All these chains are offering their delicious food items in minutes through dine-ins, drive-ins, takeaways, mobile cars or through quick home deliveries.

We just can’t remember when these fast food and quick service restaurants made a permanent place in our daily lives. Although it adds a different level of satisfaction, these omnipresent fast food chains are slowly replacing the traditional and ethnic gourmet foods, like cheese and wine.

Unknowingly, we are committing to these quick service restaurants and becoming fast food addicts. Our necessity is becoming dependence!

But, end of the day, in spite of their growing dominance, we the foodies get to taste a variety of delicacies at a reasonable price at every corner of the city, from shopping malls to multiplexes, from work places to tourist destinations!
